I've got 2,000 km on the bike and she's a dream!
The first big trip was two weeks spent in the Yukon and Northwest Territories where I travelled the Dempster Highway into the arctic circle - 800 km of gravel road in various states of repair, mostly wet Dempster Highway. Most in the group rode cyclocross bikes - two days of thick mud and sticky gravel saw derailleurs breaking left and right (9 out of 24 riders). My only issue: My chain dropped ONCE.
I've attached 2 photos: One of me grimacing at the muddy road ahead with arctic tundra behind and another at the arctic circle boundary.
I'm pleased to say that my bike not only introduced the Rodriguez name to a new crowd, but also demonstrated its quality and strength in rough conditions as advertised.
Much thanks for your service and wonderful bike!
Next up are a few local weekend loaded tours, then the big trip around Europe and across Canada in 2015.
