How long will it take to build your new Rodriguez Bicycle?
Wait times vary by season
Below are the current wait times for our three categories of builds.
The category that your bike model falls into determines its current wait time. The size, even if custom, does not have any effect on wait time.
Broken Supply Chain Parts Availability Notice
Our industry is experience parts availability problems on a massive scale. These wait times are accurate as for our part of the manufacturing goes. Some models have parts that can take much longer to get than these wait times, and some customers have specific items they want that are not easily available any longer. For these circumstances, the wait times will have to be longer. We can let you know up front if your choices are affected by shortages.
Great News! Select Models - Just 4 weeks!
We have some models that we have all of the parts for in stock, and do
not have to order anything. The Phinney Ridge Classic, Rainier Classic, UTB Classic, and Adventure Classic models, for a select time, can now be built start to finish in just 4 weeks!
Custom Level One - 4 to 8 weeks
These builds can be accomplished in less time because we have most or all of the parts already in stock. The frames are easier to build because they have fewer braze-on fittings to install than the more difficult builds. So, as long as you do not vary too much from the parts specifications on the website, this queue number should be accurate.
Models that fall into this category are:
Rainier | Phinney Ridge | Adventure | UTB | Competition | Outlaw | Classic Tandem | Toucan Tandem
Note: If you want one of these models, but want a parts group that is not listed on the site (like Di2), it will add wait time to the build for ordering and parts availability
Custom Level Two - 6 to 12 weeks
These builds require most, or all of the parts to be ordered. We have to allow time for the parts to arrive, and that has proven to take some time over the last few years. The frames are also more difficult to build because they have more braze-on fittings and more complexity to the build. The queue times should be accurate unless a part has to go into a long backorder situation.
Models that fall into this category are:
Makeshift (Rohloff) | Disruptor (electric bike) | Bandito | Makeshift Tandem | Ultra-light Tandem
Custom Specialty - 10 to 16 weeks
These builds require most, or all of the parts to be ordered and have a very difficult frame build. We need to measure for specific parts on these builds, so we have to allow time for the parts to arrive before we can even start the frame. These frames are also extremely difficult to build because they have more braze-on fittings, many of which there are not fixtures for. Time to build fixtures and even custom braze-ons has to be allowed for.
Models that fall into this category are:
Rodriguez 6-pack | Model 2014 Tandem | 8-Ball Tandem | Triples, Quads and Quints | Any Erickson | Anything not listed as a model on our site
