Hi Dan,
I suspect things are buzzing at your shop. I hope so.
I again thank you for your help in guiding me to the UTB Veloce bicycle, size 6S, and then making it for me. When I last wrote to you I had just received the bike and though I assembled it that evening I did not have time to ride because of our trip. Just for the record, I weighed the UTB without pedals and recorded a weight between 21 and 22 pounds, the best I could do with my analog bathroom scales. That's pretty good, I'd say.
Well, we are back and I have been riding the UTB for a week. My overall impression is good. I like the Campy Ergo shifter/brake levers but I still get them confused with my Fuji's Shimano 105 shifters. I have experimented with handlebar height from the highest position (about 4 inches above saddle level) to the lowest position (almost even with saddle level). I prefer the lower position but I am still experimenting. The Serfas Barista 32 mm (26 x 1.25) tires are working well; they are so light for their size.
I look forward to many enjoyable miles on my new bike. And I am pleased to have you available for advice and answers as I am sure I will have plenty of questions. In particular, the break-in phase will take some time.
Harold
